Description: Copper engraving, hand colored in outline and wash. Three maps on one double page: Peru, Florida and Guastecan. The map of Florida is was of the earliest cartographic examples showing Florida and the gulf of Mexico. The map is based on early Spanish cartographical sources by Geronimo de Chaves. Villages and towns are shown as miniature views, moreover the map is ornated with ships and animals and small renaissance title cartouches.
